Gravity- Simple complexity

The group video I felt was collaborated on well, from the idea to the excitation we delivered. However our film didnt fit the time frame due to being perhaps a wildly ambitious in terms of editing requiring a long time to be cut effetely and produce the desired effect.  My gif of gravity I felt was encompassed through the visual representation of a smashing watermelon showing the effect of mass and the power gravity can have.  I faced a few problems when creating this gif the first being getting to grips with quite how simple it could be and remaking it time after time with extensive ideas that lacked simplicity but spilled enthusiasm. Next time I am to create a gif I will think more simply to create a more affective shock.  when creating my idea for how to represent the force of gravity I had discovered this image on the nasa website. The shape of words

In conclusion I found this brief far more challenging than expected however the struggle to develop something I am truly proud of has taught me a lot about type and the importance it has within the industry. I believe I have started to look at type faces in a new and exciting way that will help my work excel as I move forward.

My Flag

INITIAL THOUGHTS What is a flag? In the definition of a flag it is described to be: ' used as the symbol or emblem of a country or institution or as a decoration during public festivities.' When considering a 'decoration of public festivities' I feel it is important to encapsulate a sense of celebration that unites people through one simple image. MY FLAG The premise behind my flag design is the simplicity of a simple quote that I have used throughout my teenage years to help me overcome conquer and explore. This statement encapsulates my positive mindset of everything happening for a reason. The waves crashing within the circle represents a whole body and the never ending influence a person can have on your life. The black and white presents the basic paths of a minimalistic lifestyle, where one goes back to traditional ideas and thoughts. its important to reflect on the old when creating new.
